Insects and Spiders : Most of this work could be considered close-up photography. Sometimes I achieve it by using special macrophotographic equipment and techniques. Other times I just point a telephoto lens at the subject and get my close-ups that way. In some cases, I have also used special techniques at the computer to get more depth of field or perhaps increase detail. Nature - Interpretive : In my Interpretive gallery, I want to present nature a little bit differently. Sometimes, it involves a shooting technique in the field. Aransas National Wildlife Refuge : The day started miserably. It was a challenge just to keep my lens dry, but by late morning the weather cleared, and I was finally able to get some nice shots. I particularly like those of the Whooping Crane, because they are endangered and exist in only a few places in the world.
